Elder Ryan Wilson's Mission

Crazy week this week, This week was apple festival which is huge in Jackson, and so I was out of my apartment at like 8 every day and didn't get home tell like 10 sometimes 11 at night. It was exhausting but so fun and I met some amazing people and some weird people. That is what happens on a mission lol, but my mission president came down on saturday morning and spent that whole day with us, and then slept over at my apartment which was so fetchin wierd but funny, then woke and up and me and my comp had to speak in church with him. It was a stressful 24 hours to say the least, and I was running on little sleep. Anyway my mission president is awesome, he called my branch to repentance at church so now they all want to feed us and stuff which is super nice lol  This week is transfer week and sense we are so busy here they are sending two more elders to stay with us this transfer!!! Super fun but also we have to split up some people we are teaching but don't worry we are keeping ...

  Wonderful week this week lol, something intresting happened this week. We have been teaching george for a while now, he's a great guy I fetchin love him, and we teach him like 3 times a week, so we've gotten close. Lately we have been trying to push him a little more in the gospel and on thursday we said we were going to try to come by his house, but he texted us and said he couldn't, but we were out and about contacting people and on our way home the exact second we passed his house I got a notification to contact george. (you get a lot of these notificaitions) but it was crazy it was the exact second we drove by, so I was like thats God telling me to go talk to him so we flipped around and when we going by his house there was a car pulling out of his driveway so we were like lets go he's diffinatly home. So im pumped up thinking we are about to put him on date and im ganna have a sick story to tell but then we knock and he isnt home. I was like well frick, what was ...

 This week was great, I've learned a lot. We had interviews this week, so we got to meet with the mission president, and I love my mission president super sick guy, but after interviews I don't know what it was but me and my comp put two people on date to be baptised! The bad thing was it wasn't in our area because we were on training visits. So I won't get to see them again but I'm  just happy to have that experiance. We had a lot of people canceling on us this week so we had a lot of open time to contact. Usually no one wants to talk to you and it gets rough getting denied all the time, but this week was insane and we found 7 new people to teach which is so sick. 7 out of like 250 people we talked to but still usually you don't even get any. It's crazy to me how literally everyone needs the gospel and it would help them out so much in their life, but they just don't see it. My job is to help them see it, but can't help them see it if they don't...

 

  Another fire week! This week I went up to Athens area and we did splits with the Athens Elders and me and that elder went to OSU and went to the actual campus to do street contacting! That was weird because it was people around my age most were a little older but everyone is just staring at us, no one really wanted to listen to us because they are all really "busy" but little do they know we are trying to save thier souls. Its fine though I'm getting used to being starred at now which is kinda hard lol. In my personal study I've been reading the BOM and that book is op. (a really good book) Yesterday was fast sunday and only like 20 people come to church because everyone hates masks, so the testimony meetings get really awkward lol. I'm not used to that, and me and my comp are ganna have to bear our testimonies every month which is ganna be fun.   It's crazy to me how many people get stuck up on things that don't matter in the gospel and then they let th...
